A Little Bit About How We Came To Be…
In 2005, an overweight personal trainer (not a typo…they exist!) named Conor Kelly was working for Extreme Fitness in Toronto. A former powerlifter and strongman competitor, he’d spent years building up his body and gained well over 100 pounds since the time he was a teenager. He’d gained some muscle, AND gained a lot of fat.
Now retired from competition, the extra weight was causing him to feel lethargic, and his health began to suffer. He battled mild to moderate depression on a day-to-day basis. His confidence was crippled.
According to Mr. Kelly, “at one I weighed almost 250 pounds and was facing serious health issues. I created Evolution Fitness to help people live in their best body and get so much more enjoyment out of life, like I do today.”
What he discovered during his journey back to health has guided hundreds of people to a breakthrough with their fitness program.

Our approach is upbeat and positive, but definitely not easy going. You can expect the utmost respect and to be encouraged in the right way. No screaming, yelling, or getting “all up in your grill”. All of our instructors are certified personal trainers, with a minimum of three years experience. They pay a lot of attention to you to make sure you’re performing the exercises safely, and achieving the greatest benefit.
Our lead instructor, Jeffry Chan, is a Can Fit Pro personal trainer, and a physical training instructor with military experience.
In the past five years, he has helped over one hundred personal training and boot camp clients achieve their fitness and fat loss goals. He is extremely skilled at helping individuals reach new levels both physically and mentally, and bringing the best out of his trainees, which he achieves with confident, supportive, and positive encouragement.
How The Program Works…
Our proven formula for exercise and nutrition success is the result of 15 years of research and experimentation. We use a unique, four-step periodization protocol which Conor discovered during his own successful body transformation. We have a very specific step-by-step plan to advance your progress.
Most boot camps in Toronto plan the workouts randomly, and therefore cannot predict success. When you join our program, here’s what you can expect:

First, we perform a complete assessment and help you set realistic goals. The measurements we take include weight, bodyfat percentage, inch measurements, and a complete nutrition assessment. This process is crucial for helping us set goals, and helping us establish a baseline against which we’ll be able to measure your progress.
The workouts themselves are based on a powerful combination of bodyweight exercises, partnered exercises, circuit training, and some light running and skipping. Not only does this combination burn tons of calories, but combining resistance training with cardio intervals has been proven as one of the most effective ways to burn a lot of fat quickly!

How The Nutrition Program Works…
We begin by getting an understanding of your current lifestyle and habits and make recommendations from there. This is not a diet. For your fitness program to succeed long term, you must stop dieting right now! Not only are diets a waste of time (they teach your body to store calories rather than burn them), but they’re just downright bad for you.
Our nutrition system is based on what’s known as supportive nutrition. That means we give your body all the nutrients it needs to thrive and you’ll never experience excessive hunger or deprivation.
We want to hear from you on what foods you might enjoy vs. the foods we recommend that (let’s face it) you’ll never eat! If you’d like lots of healthy recipes, we’re happy to provide them. If you generally don’t like to spend time preparing food, we have a plan for you too…
If you prefer to have your meals cooked and delivered, we have a sister service that can do this for you at only $10 per meal delivered. This will be discussed once we’ve had the opportunity to assess your current needs.

During our first meeting, we’ll need to ask you some questions, get into your goals and needs in more detail, and if we have a fit, we’ll help you identify a program that makes sense given your particular challenges and your lifestyle.
We get that it can be hard to envision it sometimes unless you see it for yourself. That’s why we allow you to sample our service at absolutely no cost, and with no further obligation. In that way you can meet us, see that we’re real, genuine people, see our space, and decide if what we have to offer fits what you’re looking for. If nothing else, you’ll get a fun workout, learn a few things, and get advice from a fitness trainer who’s at the top of his/her profession.
