How do you know when you work too much?

It’s a philosophical question.

It often seems like whatever I’ve got going on is reflected in my Toronto Boot Camp trainees’ lives. If I’m having a busy week, so are they. If I’m feeling tired, everybody complains of being tired.

I’m going to Mexico on holidays in two weeks and wanting to bring my best summer body. Guess what?

It seems like half my clientele has a big trip on the horizon for which they want to look their best.

Do you think it’s because a lot of my focus goes to their needs, or does the world really revolve around me?

Just kidding.

To the extent that the world does revolve around me, I figured you’d appreciate 4 quick tips on how to fast track your summer body.

You can read them here:

1.Daily effort toward the goal. You brush your teeth every day. You shower every day (or at least I hope you do). Why not work out every day? The goal here is to boost your metabolism, and accelerate the rate at which your body utilizes calories and stored fat within a 24HR period. It should be pointed out here that this has little to do with how much time you actually spend working out. You can dramatically enhance your rate of burn in just six minutes.

Most days I’ll spend 25-30 minutes working out, because I’m not operating with an antiquated “calories in, calories out” methodology. It’s not that calories aren’t important, but they’re just one piece of the puzzle. Your choices will take precedence. The point here is, I’m certain you can find 30 minutes a day if fast results are important to you.

2. Use “burst” training. I’ve extolled the merits of interval training for some time now. Introducing a couple of all-out bursts in 8 to 12 minutes of moderate cardio can help induce a “fight or flight” response in your body which temporarily gives you greater access to stored fat. To do these correctly you really need to “go nuts” for 12 seconds. You’ll know it’s working by the sort of euphoric sensation you experience.

A caution: do not attempt this on a treadmill. A stationary bike or elliptical, or anything that involves less impact is preferable. You’ll see why if you try it. Use at your own risk.

In the larger scheme of things, being in a state of ”fight or flight” may come in handy when living and working in Toronto, especially if you ever ride the subway, or drive during rush hour.

3. Cut down on breads. I feel like as a culture we are overly breaded. Not only does wheat have inflammatory properties that promote the accumulation of belly fat, but bread is generally high glycemic index, which means consuming bread leads to increased fat storage. Why not try some of my favorite QUINOA recipes instead?

4. Get some down time and de-stress. Recreation is essential to recovery. Get out for walks, ride a bike, play sports, get together with friends and family, and just nurture the soul a bit. Laughing burns fat.

A lot of times the stress of wanting results on a strict timeline itself can prevent results. Stress causes you to hold onto fat. Learn to enjoy the process and detach yourself from the outcome a bit more. When the emotional “weight” of needing results fades, the physical weight follows.

It’s been my experience that when people stop worrying about the results so much, things happen faster.

Put these four into play, ramp up your efforts, and you’ll be rockin’ the summer bod in no time. I’m enjoying the extra focus myself. I’ll report back on my progress.

And by the way, there’s not a day I spend at work that actually feels like work. Life is a gift. BE PASSIONATE!

Live Strong and Healthy,

Back when I worked at Extreme Fitness there was a young guy who used to work out with his two friends every day.

I’d say “hi” in passing, and he would say “hi” back.

After some time had passed, I started to observe what he was doing and offered to help.

“Try it this way, you should feel it more.”

“Ok, thank you,” he’d say.

I noticed that he spent quite a bit of time working out. He had a very thin build and a goal of building muscle. I’d suggest little things here and there, and he seemed receptive, although I was never really sure what he thought of me.

One day, he started asking questions. We talked. I scheduled him for a free session to teach him a few things. One thing led to the other and he eventually became my client.

Our first workout together was an arm workout. He got a better workout in 45 minutes than he’d ever experienced in two hours of working out with his friends. After that, he quickly became a believer.

I gave him a nutrition plan, which he followed to the letter, and never once questioned.

In fact, he even spent hours one time looking for a specific nutrition store because I told him to buy supplements there. Ultimately it was the product that mattered, not the store. But in his mind, everything must be EXACTLY as I recommended.

He made every single workout and never rescheduled.

Once, he got into a car accident (on his birthday no less!), and still made it to the session, albeit half an hour late. When he called to let me know he’d been in an accident but was on his way, I even tried to talk him out of coming!

“Listen, you’ve just been in an accident, you need to relax. We can do the workout another day.”

But he insisted.

When he did finally arrive, I convinced him to take it easy.

“Today’s not your day. Nothing bad will happen if we don’t workout today. You’re not gonna lose all your muscle. Relax! Oh, and Happy Birthday, by the way.”

He was so aggravated, not because he had an accident, but because he missed his workout!

The result of this dedication? This scrawny teenager grew strong and muscular, gaining close to 50 lbs.! It was a 180 degree turnabout, a total transformation. My knowledge and experience combined with his hard work made it happen.

He was 100% coachable, and that’s how he changed his life.

How coachable are you?

For the most part, I’m very open about how we coach our Toronto boot camp success stories. The information is there.

But all the nutrition information and workout videos in the world are no good to you unless you are willing to learn, and willing to accept change!

You have to be willing to do it my way for a while, the Toronto boot camp way, especially if your way’s not working! C’mon!

The young man in my story was training for two hours a day and getting nowhere. Under my guidance, he achieved huge results in a relatively short period of time — all because he was coachable. He was willing and ready to do whatever I told him, because he was smart enough to realize that his way wasn’t working, and because he’d seen the evidence that my way does work (I already have the results he was looking for)!

Do you think he ever said, “well that all sounds really good, but I’m just gonna keep doing it my way”? No!

The strategies on my blog are the same strategies we are using every day to help people change their lives. They work! Are they a part of your life yet? Have you really given them a fair try? Ask yourself that. How coachable are you being?

I ask myself several times a day, “how coachable am I being right now? Am I being open to learning new things? Am I open to trying something new? Am I really open to change?” Try asking yourself these questions, and ask them often!

Your coachability is what determines your level of success in any endeavor. High coachability creates miraculous transformations.

I’d ask you to consider that as you read my emails for the next 26 days or so.

The young man I mentioned is a remarkable individual and a great friend. His story serves as a shining example to all of us.

Today that young man serves as our Lead Personal Trainer and Boot Camp Instructor at Evolution Fitness, and helps others by passing along the knowledge I imparted to him (as well as some tricks of his own he’s picked up along the way). Whether you’re in one of our programs or not, I’d encourage you to reach out to Jeff, as he’s a great person to talk to, and has a lot of wisdom to share.

Oh, and make sure you get him to tell you the story, too.

To Your Success,

Happy Friday.

I once designed a Toronto boot camp workout called “The Nightmare”.

How Some People View Their Fat Loss Program!

It’s an hour of intense lactic acid burn followed by an extreme test of endurance. It was a “gift” to my boot campers on Friday the 13th. If you read today’s post, you’ll understand why you never have to experience The Nightmare to lose a lot of fat.

Unless you want to…

Let’s talk about how to keep that fat-burning furnace cranked even in today’s sub-zero temperatures. Part “deux” of Toronto boot camp’s ‘How to forever live in the fat-burning zone’ is here…(If you missed it, Part “Un” is below).

In yesterday’s Toronto boot camp post, we talked about some key concepts on how to keep your body in a perpetual state of burning fat.

We learned that, in theory at least, your body can be burning fat anytime you’re in an aerobic state. That doesn’t mean doing aerobic exercise necessarily. You just need to be breathing.

If you’ve got the whole breathing thing down already, you’ve got a huge head start.

Next, you just need to manage the hormonal conditions in your body to make sure fat is available to be burned as a source of fuel. This means stabilizing blood sugar levels.

One way of stabilizing blood sugar levels is to eat low-glycemic index foods, including high-fiber foods, and plenty of protein. Here are a few examples of low-glycemic index carbs: berries, cherries, green veggies, sweet potatoes, brown rice, quinoa, oatmeal. The latter three are also high in fiber.

For proteins, lean proteins are best. Examples include, chicken breast, egg whites, tuna, lean cuts of beef, salmon. Nuts, although they are high in calories, are a great source of protein, fiber, and healthy fats, and are therefore highly recommended as snacks.

You’ll notice I haven’t mentioned any dairy. There’s a bit of debate about this point. Things like cottage cheese and yogurt are relatively low glycemic index, but have a higher glycemic load. What that means is that the jury’s still out.

I’ve never met a bodybuilder that ate dairy during contest preparation. My experience is that it’s best to avoid dairy if the goal is fat loss. That being said, a little bit of yogurt or cottage cheese as a snack, or skim milk in the cereal from time to time, won’t be particularly harmful.

For more ideas, grab my list of Fat Fighting Foods. Although I did just notice a few things that shouldn’t be on there, such as pasta, potatoes, and carrots. Avoid bread also. Oops.

Remember, the idea here is to eat in a way that it allows your body to burn more calories from fat on a consistent basis.

Once you’re doing that, you just need to rev up the metabolism a bit. You can do that with exercise. The breakthrough I shared yesterday was that you should not think of your workout as simply a means of burning calories!

The goal of your workout is to increase the number of calories your burn all day long, i.e. your resting metabolic rate. It also serves to help you burn more fat by regulating blood sugar. To achieve both of these effects you need no more than 6-10 minutes!

Lack of time is a BS excuse! 10 minutes a day is all you need to create a training effect. The only reason I’d recommend longer workout, typically between 35 minutes to an hour, is because it can be helpful in building muscle, which also raises your resting metabolic rate.

When you run out of time, something is always better than nothing.

What should you do for 10 minutes?

Fast paced cardio, like a run or cycle, cardio intervals, or ideally MRT (high rep circuits using weights). Any of the three will cause your body to burn more calories for 24-48 hours!

Here’s an easy one (well, not that easy):

20 jumping jacks

10 squats

5 pushups

Set your timer for 10 minutes and attempt to do this continuously until time expires. That’s your workout.

If you are creating the right conditions with your nutrition so that you burn more fat any time you breathe, and you’re increasing the rate at which at which your body burns calories on a regular basis, you’ll be burning a lot more calories from fat, 24/7.

Breathe, eat low-glycemic carbs with protein and fiber, stimulate your body to burn more calories, and transform. You can do it.

Commit to mastering this, and your rewards will be many.

To Your Success,

I’ll need to be very cautious about what I share on my Toronto boot camp blog from now on.

Raya read yesterday’s post on creating a risk-reward scenario to enhance accountability, and she plans to use it with her program.

You can imagine how that went:

“You said financial penalties work…”

“Yeah but the money you’re risking is mine too!”

“That means you’ll help me?”

“I think so!”

This might be the ultimate test of my transformational powers…lol.

Speaking of transformation, we have a very important concept to discuss today. It is the concept of the fat-burning zone.

Important Toronto boot camp concept #1: “calories in vs. calories out” is a flawed idea. Any person who claims you can lose fat simply by “eating less, and moving more” is demonstrating their total ignorance of the fundamental energy systems in the body.

I regularly meet overweight and obese people who eat very little. Not that caloric intake is not significant. It’s just one piece of the puzzle.

Important Toronto boot camp concept #2: How fat is burned in the body. Trainers are taught that your body utilizes two main energy systems: aerobic and anaerobic. In an aerobic state, your body uses a combination of oxygen and tryglycerides (fat). In an anaerobic state, it utilizes glucose (sugar).

In other words, you burn fat while you’re on the treadmill, and sugars when you’re lifting weights.

Problem is, it’s not that simple. The line between the two gets a bit blurry sometimes. It’s not black and white. The extent to which you burn fat is also conditioned by its availability in the body. In other words, the hormonal environment in the body impacts fat utilization as well.

Stay with me here, It’s about to get good…

Does cardio burn fat?

Important Toronto Boot Camp concept #3: The fat-burning zone. Does cardio burn fat? It absolutely can, but not necessarily. It depends on a number of factors, as I mentioned above. It could just as easily burn sugars.

Let’s take that idea one step further. In theory, you could burn fat any time you’re in an aerobic state. When are you in an aerobic state? Almost all the time, OR anytime you are NOT in a glycolytic state (which usually only occurs during intense exercise)!

In other words, from an energy standpoint, if you’re breathing, you can be burning fat. Do you breathe regularly? Great! That means you qualify.

Get this right, and you can burn fat while you read, while you’re sitting at your desk, even while you sleep! Sound exciting? I hope so.

How do we make sure that happens?

Important Toronto boot camp concept #4: By balancing blood sugar. The next condition required is the right hormonal environment where fat becomes available to be burned as fuel. This can happen when blood sugar is more or less stable.

How do you achieve stable blood sugar levels? In a number of ways, the most important being (1) exercise, and (2) consuming low-glycemic index foods!

Alright, now here’s what I’m really getting at…

Important Toronto boot camp concept #5: Your goal is not to eat to conserve calories, it’s to eat in a way that allows a greater percentage of calories from fat to be burned! Read that statement again, and let it sink in. If you get this concept, it will forever change the way you look at food.

A successful nutrition plan is not about what you can’t eat. It’s about what you CAN eat that will create the possibility of your body being able to burn a lot more fat on a consistent basis.

Phew. Ok, just one more thing, I promise…

Important Toronto boot camp concept #6: The goal of your workout is not to burn calories, it is to increase the rate at which you burn calories throughout the day.

What is really important to observe is that this has almost nothing to do with the amount of time you spend working out!

You can stabilize blood sugar with about 6 to 10 minutes of exercise. You can increase your metabolic rate for up to 48 hours within the same amount of time!

To sum things up, the key to fat loss is to (1) create the right conditions for burning fat with your nutrition, and (2) ramp up the rate at which you burn fat with exercise. I’ll tell you exactly how to do that in my next post!

To Your Success,

As I write this it’s 8.22 PM.

It’s been a very productive day here at Toronto boot camp, I’ve had several appointments, and a really interesting conference call (tell you about it some other time). But I’ve spent most of my day answering interview questions for a new book on fitness (also for another time).

The interviewer asked me if I could answer a few questions. As it turns out “a few questions” meant 23 questions, and I was urged to include “as much detail as possible” in my answers.

There’s still a few phone calls to make, text messages to send, and let’s not forget the leg workout I had planned.

But before I go, I wanted to send you a simple formula you can use to guarantee you’ll stick to your New Year’s resolutions this year. It’s called Risk, Reward, Accountability. We at Toronto Boot Camp have used this technique in the past with great results.

I once met a lady who’s son was afflicted with a rare disease. The family went hundreds of thousands in dollars in debt because of the medical bills. One day she receives a letter from the power company saying that her payment was past due and they were about to shut off the electricity. This was electricity that powered the machines keeping her son alive.

She interpreted that letter as saying, “we’re going to kill your son.” And she resolved that she wouldn’t lose her family. I couldn’t tell you how exactly, but in the six months that followed she went from beyond broke to a net worth of over three million dollars using real estate investing, and saved her family for good.

True story.

The point is that pain, or the fear of pain can be a powerful motivator. Sometimes more powerful than pleasure.

Weddings, high shool reunions, photo shoots, vacations – all are powerful external motivators for losing weight. But which emotion is the driving force: the desire to look good, or the fear of looking bad? Think about that.

The answer is that it’s different for each person. Some people may even have a pretty even mix of both going on.

So here’s my take on this: you could spend a lot of time figuring out if you’re more motivated by the pursuit of pleasure or the avoidance of pain, or you could just leverage both of these and get it over with! That way you get what you want faster. Sound good?

Ok, so it’s quite simple really. First, decide what you want to commit to. Just be sure it’s really something you want to commit to, because there’s no backing down with this Toronto boot camp exercise.

Also, it’s probably best to choose something connected to a process as opposed to a specific outcome. Allow me to explain. Losing a specific number of pounds in a set time period is a lot more difficult to control than committing to, for example, doing three workouts per week during the same time period.

If you’d like to lose a set number of pounds, that’s fine. Commit to DOING something that will get you there, make sense? Great.

Once you’ve chosen what you’d like to commit to, you must place a reward on it’s achievement.

“If I do ‘x’, I will…(buy a new pair of shoes, enjoy a day at the spa, buy a new dress, eat at that desert place I’ve been dying to try, have a shopping weekend in New York, or some combination of these)”. You get the idea. Be creative. Have fun with this part. Dream up something really juicy.

Next, you must also place a risk or a penalty on the failure to achieve what you’re committing to. “If I don’t do ‘x’, I will…(donate $1,000 to charity, give $500 to my sister, shave my head bald, wear a dress for a day – if a man, wear a false mustache for a day – if a woman)”.

A bit of advice: don’t wuss out on this part. There has to be real pain involved with whatever scenario you come up with. Make it something you definitely want to avoid. I find financial penalties work really well. Make it a sum of money you are very uncomfortable parting with!

Finally, you need to find someone impartial to keep you accountable to your commitment. Someone who is going to help you see this scenario to its ultimate completion.

Have your lawyer put $5,000 in escrow, and you don’t get it back unless certain conditions are met. You’re laughing, but you’d want your money back, wouldn’t you? What would you be willing to do to get it?

Another bit of advice: spouses are usually not very impartial judges. Look elsewhere.

Once all of this is in place, you follow through on your commitment, NO-MATTER-WHAT! There are no exceptions to this Toronto boot camp technique. You commited to exercising three days a week and you broke your leg? Too bad! Use the other one. No exceptions. That’s the rule.

You can have some fun with this, but you’ll need to take it seriously for it to work. I’ve hit some major milestones very quickly using this strategy. It’s powerful.

There you have it. Risk, Reward, Accountability – your ticket to rapid weight loss!

It’s 9.04 now. Time for that leg workout.

To Your Success,

#1 KEY TO SUCCESSFUL TRANSFORMATION

Conor’s Before & After

A while back Oprah Winfrey did a radio interview…

I have so much respect and admiration for Oprah and everything she’s accomplished in her life. I found this interview very revealing and I think it will help me illustrate something to you.

The radio host asked her, “how do you feel about your work?”

“My workout?” she replied.

“No, your work.”

“Oh, I love my work! It’s just such a blessing to do what I do, to make an impact and to be able to help millions of people every day!”

“That’s great! So how do you feel about your workout?”

Silence.

“Oprah, you still there?”

“Yes, yes. How do I feel about my workouts? Well, I just want to lose my fat ass!”

Now let me ask you something…

Can you feel the difference in the communication offered regarding her work and her workouts? Take a minute and think about the EMOTION that was offered in each response.

She is extremely passionate about her work…she sees herself as being able to help MILLIONS of people on a daily basis. When it comes to business, she’s a powerhouse, one of the most influential people ever.

The 2nd response was pure frustration. As you may or may not know, Oprah’s had a very public and very prolonged battle with her weight. How does one of the world’s most successful women fail so massively in achieving one of her chief goals in life?

Two words: self-image.

How we view ourselves determines the limits of what we’re able to create in our lives. That’s it. It’s nothing else. We always act in accordance with what we believe to be true about ourselves. In fact, it’s impossible to do otherwise. We simply cannot behave in a way that’s inconsistent with our own self image.

I can pretty much guarantee you that almost every single person that struggles with their weight has something in common with the 2nd Oprah, the world’s most infamous yo-yo dieter, namely, in one form or another, they see themselves as fat. There are varying degrees to this, of course.

I’ve mentioned in my Toronto boot camp seminars and in my blogs that for the longest time, and despite my best efforts, I failed to change because I saw myself as being fat.

When I shifted my thoughts is when my transformation occured.

Is there any area in your life which you are not happy with, and regarding which you sound similar to Oprah when she talks about her weight?

I’d bet there is.

In fact, I’m almost certain that you offer that type of communication when it comes every area of your life that you’re not happy with. In Oprah’s case, she has a very healthy self-image when it comes to her work. She could never be anything other than extremely wealthy. But unless she changes her self image regarding her weight, she is destined to continue her struggles. Do you get that?

When you are not where you’d like to be physically, it means that what you’re believing to be true about yourself is inconsistent with the thing you want: your ideal body.

I’ve come to believe that the #1 key to a successful transformation lies in altering your self-image, how you think of yourself in the process of achieving your perfect weight. Until you learn to see yourself as though you are already living in your perfect body, your body won’t change.

Sorry. Don’t shoot the messenger.

There is a silver lining here, however. You CAN work on your self-image and alter it with time. When you are successful in learning to see yourself in a new way, you will
already have catapulted your life to a new level.

I can tell you from personal experience (see above) that this will not be easy, especially if there are things about yourself which you do not like.

I can also tell you, that this is the most rewarding work you will ever do.

HOW DO I START TO CHANGE MY SELF-IMAGE?

STEP 1

First, work on completely ignoring the anything negative you might think about yourself or your body. Your habit of focusing on these things is preventing you from having the body you want.

Stop weighing yourself, and stop looking at yourself in the mirror. All that does is cause you to notice things about your body you don’t like. When I had my transformation, I absolutely refused to look at my body in the mirror for the longest time. Until one day I happened to peak and I really liked what I saw! Then I couldn’t stop looking!

When you start to see significant changes (and you will if you follow my Toronto boot camp recommendations) you’ll want to make an effort to notice them a lot, but at first, and for a while, avoid looking at yourself!

Instead, practice seeing a picture in your mind of how you’d like to look. Experience it and enjoy it as though you already looked that way. And don’t worry about how long it takes…it may take a few months, it may take a year. If you’re doing this right, it almost won’t matter to you whether you have the body you want or not, because you’re already experiencing the joy of it in your thoughts. If you’re thinking “yeah right”, just go with the process, you’ll see. See your desired outcome as though it’s already fact and it’s just a matter of time until it comes into your experience.

What we celebrate today, we enjoy tomorrow.

STEP 2

Next, find one thing you like about yourself; just one. Then, spend all your time focusing exclusively on that. Obsess about it. Seriously.

What this will do is lead you to discover other things you like about yourself. When those come up, obsess about them also. After a while, you’ll find so many things to like about yourself that you’ll fall in love with yourself! YOU ARE AMAZING AND YOU DESERVE TO FEEL GREAT ABOUT YOU!

STEP 3

Finally, one of the most important ways to work on changing your self-image is to read a lot. Read a few pages of something POSITIVE every day.

Reading interrupts the pattern of negative focusing and gets you to focus on “I can do it, I can change.”

I’m going to recommend a great book. This is one of the best books I’ve ever read on self-image and how to change any aspect of yourself which you do not currently like.

It’s called Psycho Cybernetics and it’s by Dr. Maxwell Maltz. Go to amazon.com and order your copy today. When you receive it, start reading it right away. It’s easy to read and understand, and it contains a powerful road map to creating a successful transformation.

Follow these Toronto boot camp steps and be sure to give it time. You’ll know it’s working because you’ll start to feel a bit better about the whole situation. You might not feel great just yet, but you will feel a sense of relief. Your communication will begin to change.

Start each day by saying “I love being at my perfect weight because…” and enumerate all the ways it will feel fantastic to live in your ideal body.

Be consistent with all the above and the results will come. After a while, you’ll feel pulled to do all the things that support you in having the body you want. Exercising and eating right will no longer be a chore. You’ll start to actually enjoy how it makes you feel.

When that happens, you’ll be on the fast track to a successful (and permanent) body transformation.

To your success,

“Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results” – Albert Einstein

Dear friends of Toronto Boot Camp,

Happy New Year!

I have one small request for you. Please practice being open to trying new ways of doing things. I ask this of you because I know this simple habit has the power to change everything for you.

If there’s something about your life you’d like to change in 2012, whether it’s your health, your body, your finances, or your relationships, it’s time to try something new…something different…ANYTHING different.

If you keep doing what you’ve always done, you’ll keep getting what you’ve always gotten.

I know because prior to the spring of 2006, I was stuck in a major rut. I had no love life, no money, poor health, and I was overweight…

But that’s all ancient history.

A big part of changing my circumstances has been my willingness to explore new ways of doing things, and push the limits of my comfort zone.

That’s why Toronto Boot Camp instructor Jeffry Chan and I kicked off 2012 with a refreshing dip in Lake Ontario at Sunnyside Beach, January 1st, with the Toronto Polar Bear Club.

We’re now officially members!

This year, I invite you to challenge yourself to try new things and to get outside of your old routines. Anything that shakes up the status quo is good, and can serve as an excellent springboard for progress.

Make this your modus operandi for 2012, and we at Toronto Boot Camp promise you it’ll be a year to remember.

A SPECIAL INVITATION FROM TORONTO BOOT CAMP***

Someone I respect challenged me to write and send one email per day for 30 days straight. In and of itself that might not sound very hard…But my intention is that every single email I send contain great, relevant content that people actually want to read.

If you’d like to join me on this journey, and get your daily dose of Toronto Boot Camp fitness related inspiration to assist you in getting 2012 off to a fast start, email us at info@personaltrainerstoronto.com to be added to the list.

The emails will start on January 9th and continue for 30 days straight. You’ll be educated, entertained, and inspired. I can’t promise all of it will be about fitness, but I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of great value we can create.

Wishing you the best of health and happiness in 2012,

Conor Kelly

It’s become an annual tradition around here at Toronto Boot Camp to make a military style workout in honor of Remembrance Day.

We’ve done a total of three so far and they are all among the most popular videos we have on YouTube.

I’ve mentioned in the past that my Grandfather was a WWII vet, and I have HUGE respect and appreciation for the sacrifice of these brave men and women.

I’m also very grateful to live in a country where we have so much freedom.

Take a minute to watch our new Toronto boot camp military workout here:

Military Workout 2011

It’s designed to help you burn fat faster, at home or anywhere else…

You’ll love it!

Please also take a minute to leave a comment letting us know what Remembrance Day means to you, or simply thanking our military. When your click on the title of this post you’ll see the “leave a comment” link near the top.

For each comment we receive, Toronto boot camp will donate $20 to WoundedWarriors.ca to help Canadian soldiers, wounded while serving overseas.

Just one of the ways I’ll be showing my appreciation this year.

Have a great Remembrance Day & enjoy your weekend!
